How much does a NetSuite implementation cost?
A NetSuite implementation typically costs $20,000 to $70,000 for a small business, $45,000 to $160,000 for a mid-market company with inventory, several entities and integrations, and $135,000 to $460,000 or more for a complex multi-entity rollout. Most projects take 4 to 12 months. NetSuite licences are billed separately by Oracle, so a small business should budget roughly $50,000 to $100,000 for the first year in total.
NetSuite implementation cost by company size
Typical ranges from the calculator's model for three common scopes. Implementation runs from an offshore-led team at the low end to an onshore team at the high end. Licences use commonly cited list prices, before discounts.
| Company | Implementation (one-off) | Licences per year | First-year total | Timeline |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small business15 users, one company, order-to-cash and purchasing, one connector, light customization. | $20,000 – $68,000 | $30,000 – $35,000 | $50,000 – $103,000 | 4–5 months |
| Mid-market distributor60 users, three entities, inventory and revenue recognition, two connectors and one custom integration. | $46,000 – $159,000 | $83,000 – $105,000 | $129,000 – $264,000 | 6–8 months |
| Multi-entity manufacturer250 users, twelve entities, advanced manufacturing and WMS, four custom integrations, heavy customization. | $135,000 – $460,000 | $310,000 – $400,000 | $445,000 – $860,000 | 9–12 months |
Implementation is a one-off fee. Licences recur every year, so from year two the ongoing cost is mainly the subscription plus any support you choose.
What NetSuite really costs: the three parts
Every NetSuite budget has the same three parts. The calculator estimates the first in detail and gives an indicative figure for the second.
Implementation (one-off)
The partner's work to configure NetSuite, migrate data, build integrations and customizations, train users and support go-live. This is what the calculator's main figure estimates.
Licences (every year)
Oracle's annual subscription: a base licence for your edition, user licences, optional modules and a service tier. Oracle quotes it per customer and publishes no price list.
NetSuite cost per user and per monthRunning costs (ongoing)
Administration, support, new reports and workflows, integration monitoring and testing for NetSuite's two releases a year. Budget for it from the first month after go-live.

How the estimate works
NetSuite partners price implementations by effort. The calculator does the same: it adds the hours each part of your scope typically takes, adds a share for project management and testing, and multiplies by a blended hourly rate for the delivery model you pick.
The hours below are typical for a partner-led NetSuite implementation, and they are all shown, so you can see what each answer adds. They describe a typical project, not yours. A partner's quote should start from a discovery session, and these tables show what to ask about if a quote is far from the estimate.

- 01
Clean your data before the project starts
Data migration is the line that grows fastest. Removing duplicate customers, inactive items and unused accounts first shrinks the mapping, cleansing and reconciliation work.
- 02
Migrate open transactions, archive the rest
Full transaction history is rarely needed in NetSuite itself. Keeping the old system read-only for lookups is usually cheaper than migrating years of closed transactions.
- 03
Use standard processes before customizing
Adopt NetSuite's standard order-to-cash and procure-to-pay flows where they fit, and script only the processes that set your business apart.
- 04
Choose connectors over custom integrations
A pre-built connector costs a fraction of a custom integration to set up and maintain. Build custom only when no connector covers the data you need.
- 05
Phase the rollout
Go live with core financials and one entity, then add modules and subsidiaries. Phasing spreads the cost and lets each phase use what the last one taught.
- 06
Train your own trainers
Training key users who then train their teams costs far less than partner-led sessions for every user, and leaves expertise inside the business.
NetSuite implementation cost FAQs
Answers to the questions businesses ask most when they budget for NetSuite.

Send us your estimate link. We'll review the scope with you and come back with a fixed-price proposal.
For most small businesses, NetSuite implementation costs roughly $20,000 to $70,000. Mid-market projects with inventory, several subsidiaries and integrations commonly cost $45,000 to $160,000, and complex multi-entity rollouts $135,000 to $460,000 or more. The scope and where the delivery team is based drive the figure.
In the first year you pay the implementation plus the annual licences: roughly $50,000 to $100,000 for a small business with about 15 users, and $130,000 to $265,000 for a mid-market company with about 60. From the second year the cost is mainly the subscription plus any support you choose.
A small business with around 15 users typically pays $20,000 to $70,000 to implement NetSuite and about $30,000 to $35,000 a year in licences at commonly cited list prices. Choosing standard processes, clean data and a train-the-trainer approach keeps it at the lower end.
NetSuite cost for small businessNo. The calculator estimates the partner's implementation services. Oracle NetSuite sells the subscription separately, priced on your edition, user count, modules and service tier. The calculator shows a rough licence figure from commonly cited list prices so you can budget for both.
NetSuite pricing for small businessesMany small and mid-sized businesses go live in about 3 to 6 months. Multi-entity, multi-currency or heavily customized implementations with several integrations often take 6 to 12 months. The calculator estimates the timeline from the total effort.
Quotes differ in what they include (data migration, integrations, training, post go-live support), in the hours assumed for each part and in the hourly rate. Compare quotes line by line against the breakdown here, and ask what any missing line will cost.
The costs most often left out of a first budget are data cleansing, integration maintenance, extra sandbox accounts, internal staff time, testing NetSuite's two releases a year, and support after go-live.
NetSuite implementation cost breakdownIt gives a planning range, not a quote. The hours are typical for each part of a partner-led implementation, and a real project can fall outside the range when the requirements are unusual. A discovery session confirms the scope before any fixed price.
The hourly rate is lower, so the same scope usually costs less. What matters is time-zone overlap, an onshore or senior lead for design decisions, and the partner's NetSuite experience. A blended team balances cost and access.
After go-live you pay the annual subscription, plus whatever support you choose: an administration retainer, help with new features and reports, integration monitoring, and regression testing for each NetSuite release.
NetSuite administration servicesThe work is the same, but UK projects add Making Tax Digital for VAT, Bacs payment files and UK GDPR data residency questions. Quotes are normally given in pounds, excluding VAT.
